During Whiskey Week, we ventured down to the wonderful Pilsen neighborhood to make some great new friends at a great new gastropub called Pl-zeñ. They had 3 cocktails on their menu—The Frances Gold Rush, the Gutless and the Salt + Pepper. A couple folks asked for the recipes…Cassandra & Cesar have delivered the deliciousness!
Gutless:
1/4 oz lemon juice
1/2 simple syrup
Muddle 2 basil leaves muddle w/lemon and simple syrup, add ice
2 oz Few White Whiskey
2 tbsp pear puree
shake and strain
spray of balsamic vinegar mist, garnish with basil leaf

Frances Gold Rush:
1 3/4 oz Few Rye Whiskey (ambassador’s note…I’d just round up to 2 oz!!)
1 1/4 oz ginger liqueur
1/4 oz lemon juice
shake with ice and strain into brown sugar-rimmed glass

Salt + Pepper:
1 oz Few Standard Issue Gin
1/2 oz Oola pepper vodka
3/4 oz grapefruit juice
1 oz simple syrup
2 dashes angostura bitters
served on the rocks in a salt-rimmed rock glass
